The Making of Beautifully Undressed AW16 Video Lookbook - Obsession

 It's been a good few months since our last blog post, but as they say 'time flies when you're having fun...' and its defintely been a been a fun albeit, busy summer at Beautifully Undressed, with amazing opportunities and collaborations, that have blossomed or in the process of blossoming.

The first of these, was the production of our amazing AW16 Look book and video, titled - OBSESSION.  The Look book was to showcase and celebrate four new additions to the BU collection; Elisa Poppy is an independent label that fuses traditional lace with boundary pushing latex. Harlow & Fox create elegantly decadent lingerie and loungewear for curvaceous DD+ ladies. Freolic returns women to classically beautiful lingerie design while Quiet Studio is an accessories brand pushing the boundaries of seduction and domination with leather harnesses and chokers.

In addition there were new season pieces from Hesper Fox and Sonata Rapalyte, as well as our own Beautifully Undressed x La Masion Nouvelle collection and classics from L'Agent by Agent Provocateur.

The look book was produced in collaboration with fashion & lingerie photographer extrodinaire, Chris Jarvis. It was a meeting of creative minds and Chris was able to capture the essence of a more seductive Beautifully Undressed. It was amazing to work with him and we're planning more exciting collaborations for the future, so watch this space

Both established instagram -famous, lingerie models. I'd been following both for some time and secretly dreaming of the chance to work with them.  Both are very diverse beauties, but more importantly, both models are inspirational advocates for body positivity and they bucked the trend aesthetic as far as models are concerned in the lingerie industry. As such, I really felt they complemented the Beautifully Undressed aesthetic for making exquisite lingerie available to women around the globe.  So it really made my day when they both agreed to work with me on this beautiful shoot.

To top it all we were able to get what I consider to be a dream location - we shot at the opulent Gentleman's club, 14 LSQ in London, and we're so grateful to them for allowing us to take over the luxuriously sexy space.

It was the most perfect shoot and wonderful to work with talented creatives to bring my vision to light, which sees a bolder and more sensual direction for Beautifully Undressed.

Obsession is a representation of where we are and what we want to embody - as our obsession with lingerie lifestyle grows. It explores that feeling that beautiful lingerie gives women, that feeling of being able to take on the world, of embracing ones sexuality, and feeling amazing in your body, no matter the shape, colour or size. We are about women empowerment .

It's a strong female empowered statement look book and this is reflective of the new brands we have on board - all quite diverse, latex from Elissa Poppy, feminine and sensual laces from Freolic & Sonata, luxury lingerie for women with curves, from Harlow & Fox, strong statement leather accessories, with a strong nod to seduction, domination and femininity from Quiet-Studio , silks and prints that hark to a bygone era - from Hesper Fox,  but all brands that are reflective of the different women that we are.

It's a sophisticated and more luxurious vision of Beautifully Undressed - open to exploration and encouraging women to feel seductive, empowered and happy.

We'll be releasing more images from the shoot, but specific to the brands in the lead up to Christmas and next year, Valentines.
